(Striped Rocket Frog)
October 2004
...on such a timless flight
Rocket man
burning out his fuse up here alone...
Painted after I found a very cute little Rocket Frog in our bathroom after rain.
Rocket Frogs do not climb, instead they spend their nights rustling among leaf litter on the ground, looking for beetles, spiders, flies, bugs and ants.
They hang out in coastal areas, swamps and open forests, rocket frogs are also common backyard visitors. Oh and of course, they are not quite as colourful as this fellow, but hey, I am an artist... I see colour everywhere.
